Gharyan University participated in the opening of the Second International Scientific Conference on Water Resources and Water Security in Libya.

The event was organized by Sabha University, in collaboration with the universities of Wadi Al-Shati, Benghazi, Tripoli, and Gharyan, as well as the Authority for the Implementation and Management of the Great Man-Made River Project, the Libyan Association of Earth Sciences, and Zallaf Libya Oil and Gas Company, under the slogan "Our Water, the Future of Our Generations."

The conference took place on Tuesday, December 10, 2024, and was attended by the presidents of the universities of Sabha, Tripoli, Zawiya, Al-Jufra, and Wadi Al-Shati, in addition to the Vice President for Academic Affairs at Sabha University, faculty members, directors of departments, and heads of centers.

Representing Gharyan University at the conference, upon the kind invitation of the conference organizers, were Dr. Adel Al-Tayeb Al-Malloushi, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, Dr. Mahmoud Mohamed Ashour, Director of the International Cooperation Office, and several faculty members from the Faculty of Sciences.
